Bill Markve attended South Dakota State University and graduated from the University of South Dakota with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business and Economics. Upon graduation, Bill started as a career agent with Bankers Life of Nebraska. In 1980, Bill went independent in the insurance and investment business and founded Bill Markve & Associates and continues to serve as its President and CEO.

Bill has a long list of accomplishments in his 29 years in the industry, including the leading agent nationwide for Ameritas Life Insurance Corp. for 23 years. Although BM&A does business with many insurance companies, BM&A has been General Agency of the year for Ameritas 15 times. Bill has qualified for the National Quality Award and the National Sales Achievement Award from the start and is a 27 year "qualifying member" of the Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT). A 15 year MDRT Court of the Table qualifier, he is now a seven year "qualifying and life" member of MDRT's coveted "Top of the Table" award. Bill has spoken at many insurance industry meetings and seminars and is nationally known for his accomplishments in the life insurance and estate planning business.

Carolyn Anderson, FLMI, ACS has been with BM&A 10 years and is our Life Insurance & Investments Division Customer Service Manager. Carolyn has over 23 years experience in the life insurance industry and has been involved in customer service, underwriting and policy administration. Carolyn works directly with insurance companies’ home offices on insurance policy issues. Carolyn is securities licensed Series 6 and 63 and Life and Health Insurance licensed. Carolyn earned her FLMI and ACS designations through LOMA insurance education program.

Tami Bliven is a life long resident of the Sioux City/Sergeant Bluff, IA area. She graduated from Sergeant Bluff-Luton Sr. High. Tami brings 25+ years of office/administrative experience to our business. She previously worked for the City of Sioux City and most recently a local construction company. Tami’s experience encompasses many areas which include customer service, Executive Assistant, clerk, Payroll, A/P, A/R and Human Resources benefits administration. Tami serves as an Administrative Assistant in our Dakota Dunes office.

Terra Bylander grew up in Sioux Falls, South Dakota where she graduated from Lincoln High School. Upon graduation she moved to Milbank, South Dakota where she worked as a Personal Lines Specialist for 6 years and most recently was a Business Insurance Underwriter for the past 2 years for a national property & casualty insurance company. Terra is both personal and commercial property and casualty licensed.

Nicole Danzeisen graduated from Southwest State University in Marshall, Minnesota with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a minor in Marketing. Nicole joined Dakota Insurance directly out of college and has been with the agency since 2001. Nicole is the Personal Lines Manager at the Milbank office and is both personal and commercial property and casualty licensed. In addition, Nicole is also licensed in life and health insurance.

Blake Markve graduated from the University of South Dakota with a major in Criminal Justice and minor in Business Administration. With nearly 5 years experience at BM&A, Blake works in the life insurance and employee benefits area of our firm. He is securities licensed 6, 63 26 and is Life and Health Insurance licensed.

Brandon Markve attended the University of South Dakota Business School and graduated from Bellevue University with a degree in Business Administration. Brandon has been with BM&A for over 7 years and works primarily in sales in the Property and Casualty division. In addition to working primarily with personal and commercial Property and Casualty insurance, he is also experienced in life insurance and employee benefits. Brandon is securities licensed Series 6 and 63 and is Life and Health insurance licensed. Brandon is also licensed in both Personal and Commercial Property and Casualty insurance.

Jean Maxfield has over 40 years of experience as a Property and Casualty Service and Sales representative. Jean has joined Bill Markve & Associates as a Property and Casualty Service Representative. Jean is both Personal and Commercial Property and Casualty licensed.

Jason Quiring graduated from Northern State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance and Economics. Jason is one of our Associates providing clients with life and disability insurance. Jason has nearly 9 years experience in the insurance industry. Jason is licensed Series 6 and 63 and is Life and Health insurance licensed.

Dean Robeson graduated from Sioux Empire College with an Associates Degree in Liberal Arts. He has over 40 years management experience in production, sales and service. Dean is a sales producer in our Health Insurance and Employee Benefits division. Dean is experienced in individual and group health insurance, worksite and employee benefits.

Kim Snell, a South Dakota native, attended Dakota State University in Madison, South Dakota. Kim joins Bill Markve & Associates as our Customer Service Manager of the Property and Casualty Division in the Webster office. Kim has over 10 years experience in the insurance industry, most recently working for a local bank/insurance firm in Webster. Kim is personal and commercial property and casualty licensed.

Cheryl Stevens is a life-long resident of Milbank, South Dakota, and has been with Dakota Insurance for over 15 years with nearly 30 years experience in the insurance industry. Cheryl is the Commercial Lines Manager and Office Manager for the Northern Division Milbank office. Cheryl is licensed in life, health, and personal and commercial property and casualty insurance.

Lori Whitman was born and raised in Vermillion, South Dakota and graduated from Vermillion High School. Lori then attended Broward Community College in Davie, Florida. Returning back to South Dakota Lori worked for a bank & insurance agency. She is also a licensed Realtor® in Minnesota. Lori brings 10 years of experience in the insurance industry. Lori is our Customer Service Manager of the Property and Casualty Division at the Dakota Dunes office for Bill Markve & Associates.
