 The Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of America (IIABA) is a national alliance of 300,000 business owners and their employees who offer all types of insurance and financial services products. Bill Markve & Associates is a long time member

Unlike company-employed agents, IIABA independent insurance agents and insurance brokers represent more than one insurance company, so they can offer clients a wider choice of auto, home, business, life, health coverages as well as retirement and employee-benefit products.
IIABA agents and brokers not only advise clients about insurance, they recommend loss-prevention ideas that can cut costs. If a loss occurs, the independent insurance agent or broker stands with the client until the claim is settled.
IIABA was founded in 1896 as the National Local Association of Fire Insurance Agents. With the expansion of property-casualty business and coverages, the organization’s name was changed to the National Association of Insurance Agents in 1913. To emphasize its members’ ability to work with a variety of insurance companies, the organization became the Independent Insurance Agents of America in 1975. The Association’s name was changed in 2002 to the Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of America to reflect the diversity of its membership, which includes both independent insurance agents and insurance brokers.
IIABA is a voluntary federation of state associations and local boards, with affiliates in every state and the District of Columbia. Its independent insurance agents and brokers are politically astute and are involved both locally and nationally. They monitor and affect consumer, insurance agent and broker, and small business issues in Washington through IIABA’s active, professional staff on Capitol Hill.
 The National Association of Insurance and Financial Adivisors (NAIFA) is a national nonprofit organization representing the interests of more than 70,000 insurance and financial advisors nationwide, through its federation of over 900 state and local associations. Founded in 1890, NAIFA is the nation's largest financial services membership association. Its mission is to advocate for a positive legislative and regulatory environmeent, enhance business and professional skills, and promote the ethical conduct of our members.  In 1927, 32 extraordinary life insurance producers, each of whom had sold at least $1 million of life insurance that year, dreamed of an international forum dedicated to fostering a high standard, professional approach to life insurance sales and service. They believed that growth is a result of exchanging ideas. The concept was, "To receive, individuals must give."
Out of this dream emerged the Million Dollar Round Table, an international, independent association of 29,449 of the leading sales professionals in the life insurance-based financial services industry. MDRT, a positive influence in the life insurance industry, has developed a rich tradition of sharing knowledge for the benefit of clients, prospects, producers and companies.
 The challenge to attain and maintain membership in MDRT is really an open invitation to all life insurance producers. The Million Dollar Round Table fills a special requirement sought by the many who join its ranks. That special requirement is sales and service excellence!

 The purpose of the Top of the Table of the Million Dollar Round Table is to provide a forum, including the Top of the Table Annual Meeting, for exchanging advanced sales and productivity ideas as well as developing interpersonal relationships among an international network of leading insurance and investment financial producers/advisors who are Million Dollar Round Table members and have met certain minimum qualifications criteria. Bill Markve has been a qualifying member of MDRT’s Top of the Table for 5 years. Top of the Table represents the top three-tenths of 1% of all life underwriters worldwide.
